ROAD TRIP CONFESSIONALS
TIMELINE:
It's the days after the purple worm incident. The beautiful Fantasy Australia scenery is composed of dirt, some embarrassing shrubs, and a whoooooole lot of despair. It's gonna be a looooooong drive to the temple if we don't figure out some way to pass the time!
What does that mean?
It means: It's time to get to know each other, assholes!
Post a top level so your party members can approach you with their probing personal questions!
Respond to other people's top levels with your probing personal questions!
Mix! Mingle! Make friends!

"The fact that we barely need to turn helps. The harder part is making sure that we're not turning. With nothing to judge our position by, it wouldn't take more than a nudge too far to the east or west to make us drive past our goal, missing by miles."
"So, it's less like trying to guess at where we need to go next, and more like..." Her low int struggles to try and describe it. "... it's like tallying things up, to figure out where we'd be on this map. Making sure shadows are falling in the right direction. Keeping a tab on how much ground we've covered today. Little things like that."

"Makes sense. Not much of any of that to work with out here, but this place is so open that we could miss it my a couple miles and still see it on the horizon." Not that she's going to take that chance, though. "Hopefully we'll run into something more interesting soon. Maybe we'll even hit that cliff the lady back in town was talking about. We'll have to drive around it, but it'll be a solid landmark."
There's a moment of silence, and then she muses: "Maybe we could jump it if it's narrow enough?"

Just. Ignore him.

"... jump it, like, get out and jump? Or..."
No, Bowen. You know what she's thinking. Stop pretending you don't.
The dwarf sweeps her bangs back out of her face, like she's thinking really hard about something she should be dismissing outright. "... the big issue is that I can't see this thing getting over anything at this speed. Wouldn't we need to get it moving a lot faster first?"

Velo ponders over the possibilities. There's a lot of ways to get it to go faster, the question is which would be the most effective?
"Easiest way is to double up on the use of sunstones. That would give us a lot more power, but since we only have two it would make getting back to Butcher Bay risky, plus I don't know how well the other parts of this thing would respond to the increased output. We might fry some stuff. Other than that, there are probably spells we could use to give the car a push, but I don't know how effective that would be."

Yes, she knows that's probably not how the stones actually work. But she does not trust those rocks in the slightest.
On the other hand, Velo's got her thinking about this now. "You sure spells wouldn't work? Seems like if anyone would know something explode-y enough..."
The mention of explosions makes her quickly change gears.
"Hold on. Did Steady pack us any party favors for the road? I mean, that would probably make the car fly across in a few pieces, but..."
