ROAD TRIP CONFESSIONALS
TIMELINE:
It's the days after the purple worm incident. The beautiful Fantasy Australia scenery is composed of dirt, some embarrassing shrubs, and a whoooooole lot of despair. It's gonna be a looooooong drive to the temple if we don't figure out some way to pass the time!
What does that mean?
It means: It's time to get to know each other, assholes!

Re: ROAD TRIP
Aside from that, Gorudak doesn't really say much else. He does answer her question, though.
"No. I was bound in service to Drodon. I had no opportunity nor desire to travel."

But it doesn't sound like these are the kind of 'tracts of land' he's interested in.
"Drodon, eh? What is that, an imperial city? I'm not familiar with it, but I wasn't as well-traveled as I would've liked." Maybe it's a good thing their first big journey is so easy. Anyway, the imperial city is just a guess from 'bound in service'. For all she knows, it could be a really scary sounding name for a farming village.

He sighs, as he sees this conversation doesn't appear to be winding down as he would prefer.
"Drodon is the Empire's first line of defense on its Western borders. A walled fort turned sprawling city with the passage of several hundred years."

Sorry. Sorry. Someone needed to ask about it.

That's all you're getting.

Yup, that sure is what he just said, good job Bowen.
Well, okay. When she repeats it, she sounds incredulous. Not about the idea of him reading, Half-Orcs are as welcome at book clubs as anyone else — but that he thinks that's all that needs to be said on the subject.
"What do you like to read, then? I mean, I've read a lot myself, but that was — well — look, it's pretty obvious which one of us was reading better things. Smarter, city things."
